Dr White initially completed his medical degree at the University of Birmingham. He later undertook his specialist clinical training and PhD in the Midlands. He currently works as an NHS consultant at Nottingham University Hospitals.
Dr White is a highly regarded specialist consultant in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine, as well as an advanced interventional endoscopist with over twenty years of clinical experience.

Dr White has a remarkable track record in research and education alongside delivering a high level of clinical care. He has completed a PhD at the University of Nottingham investigating using endoscopic techniques to identify individuals at risk of complications of H. pylori infection, the role of eradication therapy on the immune system and implications for allergic conditions. Dr White is a regional expert in H. pylori related disease and has been involved in UK national guideline development. Since the completion of his PhD, he has continued to be actively involved in research. With expertise in observational, endoscopy and laboratory-based studies he has authored over 40 publications (which include original articles, review articles and book chapters).

He has also held several other key positions including Clinical Lead forGastroenterology for Community Health and Eye Care Ltd (CHEC), RCP associate tutor and as a committee member for Birmingham’s Widening Access to Medical School (BWAMS).
