Dr Ruchika Dhar is a General Practitioner with a special interest in Menopause and Women’s Health. She holds a BMS accredited Advanced certificate in Menopause Care and runs a dedicated Menopause clinic at her surgery providing specialist care and supporting GP colleagues across the Retford and Villages Primary Care Network.
Ruchika has been a GP and the Women’s Health lead at her Practice for over ten years and also provides contraception and family planning services. Her other areas of interest include Dermatology and minor surgery.
Ruchika believes that a woman’s experience of the menopause can a have a lasting impact on her future health. She feels that as a GP, she has the privilege of not just understanding women’s menopause related concerns but also being able to relate them to their other physical and mental health conditions. This leads to provision of personalised holistic care during a woman’s menopause journey and beyond.
