Dr Khan’s specialist clinical interests and expertise include: Interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angiography and intervention Management of acute and chronic ischaemic heart disease Diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular care through inpatient and outpatient pathways Cardiac imaging and integration with interventional decision-making These reflect his role in advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventional treatment provision within a DGH cardiology unit.

Dr Khan trained extensively in cardiology and interventional cardiology, including a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Freeman Hospital before taking up consultant posts. He has over a decade of specialist experience within NHS cardiology services, participating in both acute interventional care and chronic cardiac management.

Dr Khan’s work is clinically focused, delivering evidence-based cardiology care within a tertiary DGH environment and supporting clinical governance and audit processes as part of service delivery.
Dr Khan holds accredited consultant status with the General Medical Council (specialist register) and works in NHS cardiology governance structures. He leads service provision in his department and supports trainee development within the cardiology team.
