His specialist clinical interests include: Total and partial knee arthroplasty (knee replacement) Hip arthroplasty (hip replacement) Cartilage preservation and joint preservation surgery Soft tissue knee injuries including ligament and meniscal surgery Management of young patient knee arthritis

Mr Chandrasenan completed his specialist orthopaedic training on the East Midlands (North) Trauma & Orthopaedics training programme. He subsequently undertook advanced fellowship training at The Royal Derby Hospital, where he developed expertise in managing acute knee injuries. His practice includes both joint-preserving and joint-replacement procedures, treating a spectrum of knee and hip conditions in adult patients.

Mr Chandrasenan has publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented research nationally and internationally, particularly in the area of knee surgery and arthroplasty. He is active on ResearchGate with multiple surgical publications, reflecting engagement with clinical research relevant to orthopaedics.
Mr Chandrasenan is affiliated with key professional orthopaedic organisations including: British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK) British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) British Hip Society British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association (BOSTAA) Royal College of Surgeons He contributes to surgical education and training, running an annual multi-centre course to prepare trainee surgeons for consultant orthopaedic roles, attracting national faculty and trainees.
