Mr Biswas completed his medical education and postgraduate training at Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, India (1993–2006), where he also served as a consultant from 2006 to 2009. After relocating to the UK in 2009, he underwent retraining and has worked at consultant level in the NHS since 2015, including posts at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and the tertiary referral centre in Derby. His experience spans over two decades of broad-based practice in obstetrics and gynaecology with focused expertise in urogynaecology.

Mr Biswas is actively engaged in academic activity, with more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts. He is involved in medical education and examination, contributing to training and evaluation of postgraduate trainees.

Mr Biswas holds membership of several professional organisations including: Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists British Society of Urogynaecology British Medical Association Member, National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) He also participates in national clinical selection processes and is an examiner for the MRCOG exams at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London.
