At Nottingham Road Clinic, care is delivered through structured clinical pathways designed to ensure clarity, safety and continuity at every stage.
Below is an overview of what patients can expect from referral through to follow-up.
Patients may access our services through:
* NHS referral pathways
* GP or consultant referral
* Private self-referral
* Private medical insurance referral
Once your referral is received and reviewed, our administrative team will contact you to arrange a suitable appointment.
Private patients will be advised regarding consultation fees in advance. Insured patients should obtain pre-authorisation from their insurer prior to attendance.
You will receive confirmation of your appointment including the date, time and any preparation instructions.
To support a comprehensive consultation, please bring:
* A form of photographic identification
* Details of current medications
* Copies of relevant investigation results or clinic letters, if available
* Insurance authorisation details, if applicable
You may also wish to make a note of your symptoms, when they began and any specific concerns you would like to discuss.
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to allow time for registration.
All appointments are consultant-led.
During your consultation, your clinician will:
* Take a detailed medical history
* Review previous investigations
* Perform a clinical examination where appropriate
* Discuss potential diagnoses
* Outline management options
Where further investigations are required, these will be clearly explained, including the purpose of the test and expected timelines.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in decisions about your care.
If diagnostic tests or procedures are recommended, you will receive:
* Clear written information
* Preparation instructions where relevant
* An explanation of risks and benefits
* Consent documentation where required
All procedures are delivered within defined clinical governance and safety frameworks in a CQC regulated environment.
Following your consultation:
* A structured clinic letter will be prepared
* Correspondence will be shared with your GP or referrer
* A copy may be provided to you where appropriate
If tests have been arranged, your consultant will review the results and determine the next steps. This may include further review, treatment planning or discharge back to your GP with a clear management plan
Follow-up arrangements depend on your clinical needs and may include:
* A further outpatient appointment
* Remote consultation
* Interventional treatment
* Referral to another specialist
* Discharge with advice
Our aim is to ensure that patients receive clear communication, timely reporting and appropriate onward referral where necessary.
Nottingham Road Clinic operates as a CQC registered independent healthcare provider. All services are delivered within a defined clinical governance framework, with appropriate infection prevention measures, emergency equipment and professional regulatory standards in place.
Patient confidentiality, dignity and safety remain central to every stage of the journey.
