General Surgery
General Surgeons treat a huge variety of surgical conditions, covering many specialities. Most General Surgeons often specialise in one area, for example
- Colorectal Surgery
- Breast Surgery
- Upper GI Surgery
- Vascular Surgery
- Endocrine Surgery
Common surgical conditions which could be treated by most surgeons would include lumps and bumps, hernias, gall bladder problems and abdominal pain. X-rays, CT scan, MRI scan and laparoscopes are tools commonly used to investigate these conditions.
